Current Projects
Community Early Learning Institute (CELI) Project is exploring co-location of early childhood resources for increased access, use and understanding of quality in early childhood development. Project research supports collaborating with community partners with common interests to accomplish this. CELI is working with community partners including the Cedar Rapids Public Library and Multigenerational Community Life Center Project of Planning Lifelong Activities for You (PLAY) in Linn County.
Curriculum & Technology Project (FYFC&T) is working to provide technology, support, training, and Creative Curriculum.net subscription assistance for early childhood settings. In 2009 we revieved one of 6 First Years First state grant awards for our project. First Years First state program was created by the Iowa legislature to establish a public-private partnership for early childhood in Iowa. First Years First aims to support Iowa communities to invest in quality early care, health and education for Iowa children birth to five.
Early Childhood Systems Building Project is using community data and partner involvement to outline and address system inefficiencies as collective priorities for our community.
