Increase the quality of existing child care and pre-school services through training, practical resources, and mentoring and small grants

 

• Host and /or sponsor training sessions for early care and education professional development

Give more children the opportunity to receive free or affordable high quality early education

 

• Advocate for greater access to high quality early education

Enhance the way community organizations work together

 

• Support initiative research on model early childhood education and professional development centers
• Contribute to longitudinal planning and information sharing at quarterly early childhood stakeholder meetings
• Provide in-kind support (meeting space, grant writing, accounting, legal, business planning, special events coordination, web management, data analysis, public relations, etc…)

Engage the broader community by providing information on the importance of the first five years of life

 

• Hold a speaking engagement on the importance of the first five years of life
• Connect individuals with information, resources and materials on the first five years of life
• Collaborate in awareness and outreach efforts and events
• Talk to policy makers about the needs of our youngest citizens and their families in our community
